Meet Our Speakers

Ryan Bomberger

Keynote Speaker

Ryan Bomberger is an Emmy® Award-winning creative professional, columnist, factivist, and author of the powerful book, Not Equal: Civil Rights Gone Wrong.

He and his wife, Bethany, founded The Radiance Foundation, a life-affirming organization based on the belief that every human life has purpose. Through their organization, they extensively research and creatively present challenging social issues (abortion, adoption, fatherlessness, poverty, free speech, etc.) in the context of God-given purpose.

Ryan is one of ten children, who were adopted and loved, in a diverse family of fifteen. Today, as an adoptee and father of four (two of whom were adopted), he enjoys illuminating the intrinsic worth we all possess.

Ryan has keynoted at renown locations and events including the UN, Harvard, Princeton, the March for Life (DC and Canada), Capitol Hill briefings and hundreds more events across the globe. Ryan’s work has received extensive media coverage by the NY Times, CNN, Fox News, Washington Times, and many others.

He’s been denounced by Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, George Soros’ Media Matters for America, the NAACP and many other liberal organizations and politicians. He was sued by the nation’s leading civil rights group because he parodied their name in an article exposing the NAACP’s radical pro-abortion position and actions…. After a two-year battle in federal court, Ryan and Radiance prevailed in this free speech case.

As Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation, Ryan is passionate about building a culture that values Life in all of its stages.

Jared White

Advokate Executive Director

Jared has been the Executive Director of Adokate for 12 years. Through his visionary leadership, he has grown Advokate to be the largest organization of its kind in Canada and has overseen the creation of three pregnancy care centres across the province. Jared was recently elected as a School Trustee with the City of Abbotsford and prior to coming to Advokate, Jared worked in pastoral ministry for eight years. God’s calling in his life is to help reinvent the life-affirming movement to be more effective, relevant, and compassionate. Jared lives in Abbotsford with his wife, Shannon, and four school-aged children.

David Bentall

Event Emcee

Mr. Bentall worked for 20 years in his family’s real estate and construction businesses. During his time as President and CEO of Dominion Construction, the business doubled in size to just under $300 million in sales. During his career in real estate, David played a leading role in several landmark projects across Canada and played a leading role in the successful domestic bid for the Olympics, ultimately resulting in Vancouver hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics.

After the family business was sold, David founded Next Step Advisors, which is now a pre-eminent professional advising firm for family-owned businesses. The company helps family enterprises navigate the uncertainty that often accompanies intergenerational transitions. The firm also supports families by providing advice, education, mentoring and facilitation services.

David is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia and is a graduate of UBC’s Faculty of Commerce and Harvard’s Business School.

His award-winning book, The Company You Keep, explores the keys to building lasting friendships. His second book, Leaving a Legacy, explains how to successfully navigate family business succession. His most recent book, Dear Younger Me, offers wisdom for all aspiring leaders and family enterprise successors.

David is a four-time Canadian National Water Ski Champion. In 2013, in his age group, he was ranked the number one male slalom skier in the world. He and his wife Alison have been married for 45 years. They have four children and nine grandchildren.
